My new Skelly Ornie...."RED" Skellyton!

Red Skeleton has always been a favorite of mine. He was such a wonderful comedian. He was an Artist, a published
composer and a kind and gracious man. He was born in Vincennes Indiana, and so was I!
From time to time he would return to his hometown and I was lucky enough to meet him.

I plan to create some little skelly ornaments inspired by his MANY funny characters he was so well-known and loved for through the years.

Red Skelton (July 18, 1913 - September 17, 1997)

"If some day you’re not feeling well, you should remember some little thing I have said or done and if it brings a smile to your face or a chuckle to your heart then my purpose as a clown has been fulfilled."—Red Skelton

In following posts I will include more information I find in researching the man and his story.

I know you remember how he closed every program...

"Good-night, and May God Bless"

He is just darling!!! I am so excited to see the further characters! We are huge Red Skelton fans, infact my husband just brought me home the cutest tin lunchbox with Red on it that contains a dvd with some of his episodes. I am trying to find his Christmas special with Freddy the Freeloader =:o)

Many blessings!

Ahh Shirley, I too loved RED, the man, his profession and I do remember the twinkle in that man's eye...Imagine you both being from the same area...I think he would be tickled pink ( a light shade of red) that you were inspired by him. RED is a bit of old and new...new fabrics, old bell, new memories mixed with old...a tribute well deserving...
ahhhhh
